1. President Buhari on Wednesday 26 February 2020 swore-in National Assembly Service Commission Members
Hint: The President swore-in the members during the Federal Executive Council meeting which he presided over in State House, Abuja.
2. The Federal Government on Wednesday 26 February 2020 approved the sum of $20 million funds for young innovators and Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in the technology sector.
Hint: This was announced during a meeting presided over by the Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The meeting was held for the purpose of reviewing the progress on President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration’s efforts to support Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).
3. The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) has been conferred the power to probe government Ministries, Departments and Agencies
Hint: This was made known by Vice President, Yemi Osibanjo in a PEBEC meeting held at the Presidential Villa Abuja.
What this really means is that complaints from Nigerians regarding activities and practices in Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) bordering on suspected corruption and deliberate stalling of reform efforts are gotten, would be referred immediately from the REPORTGOV.NG portal of PEBEC to the ICPC for investigation and prosecution.
4. President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday 26 February 2020 approved the composition of an 11-member Monitoring Committee for the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).
Hint: The development was In line with the provisions of Part V1, Section 21 of NDDC Establishment Act.

- The Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Senator Godswill Akpabio as Chairman
- Minister of State, Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs, Senator Omotayo Alasoadura - member

- Mr Alfred Abah, a Director in the Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs - Member/Secretary.

- Mr Charles Ikeah, representative of the Federal Ministry of Environment

5. The Federal Executive Council (FEC) on Wednesday 25 February 2020 approved N29.2 billion for the construction of two roads linking two Northern states to the border of Niger Republic.
Hint: The approval was for the construction of a 46-kilometre road from Balle in Sokoto State to Niger Republic border at the cost of N9.5 billion and 50-kilometre road project from Kunia in Jigawa State to the Niger Republic border at the cost of N19.7 billion.
6. The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Mohammed Adamu on Wednesday 26 February 2020 ordered the disbandment of satellite offices of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) across Nigeria.
Hint: The Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police in charge of Criminal Investigations Department, Peter Ogunyonwo made the announcement during a courtesy visit to the family of late Remo Stars Sports Club player Tiamiyu Kazeem in Sagamu area of Ogun State.
7. Saudi Arabia on Thursday 27 February 2020 announced a travel ban to the holiest sites in Islam over coronavirus fears.
Hint: This ban is coming just months ahead of the annual Hajj pilgrimage, as the Middle East recorded more than 220 confirmed cases. By this ban, all foreigners (including Nigerians) are now restricted from entering the holy city of Mecca and the Kaaba. It also said travel was suspended to Prophet Muhammad's mosque in Medina.
8. The National Examinations Council on Tuesday 25 February 2020 announced the dismissal of 19 of its Staff members over certificate forgery following their confession to the crime.
Hint: NECO Governing Board approved the dismissal of the workers, recommended by the Staff Certificate Verification Committee constituted by the management.
